winter at Nicomedes farm

Hi Morgan,
Great to hear about you and apologies for not replying earlier.
I am glad you like my article, the farm and what is going on at it.
Not much during this cold and damp season I must say but one should never be ungrateful to Nature.
It is true that time is coming for us to get ready. Warm day will slowly be accommodating the soil for the sowing season an therofore we need to get this ready. It is as if we need to wake up earlier than anybody else to the call of spring.
As a matter of fact I already sowed some seeds in trays, well protected so when the right time comes, the seedlings will be transplanted to their permanent locations. I also have the potatoes in trays so they can start growing their shoots (eyes) and then by the end of February be planted.
As you say , the cork tree is an spectacle on its own. When they come in the form of a forest, they are a true wonder, so important to the conservation of so many other species, among them mammals, birds, etc. Sure you will soon witness all this.
